Dr Laurel EdmundsDr Laurel Edmunds is a child/adolescent weight management specialist with 18 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include the psycho-social aspects of childhood obesiity weight management evaluations and interview-based research. She was a Specialist Advisor to the Health Select Committee’s obesity inquiry and a psychologist in the children’s obesity clinic at the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital. She integrates her experience of positive psychology interventions with weight management to improve wellbeing for all ages. Laurel works at the University of Oxford and as an independent consultant - advisor, coach, facilitator, and researcher.

She believes that effective interventions need to be child/family/participant centred. To this end she can bring her unique experience of her pastoral care of children, her education background, research and practice skills together to help other pratitioners and researchers.
